About VTac
Our Mission is to help educate our community with active shooter response and lifesaving emergency care skills.

VTac is owned and operated by retired public safety training professionals Paul and Candice Mitchell.
​

As a retired Training Chief for a municipal fire department and a retired Director of a state accredited police academy, Paul and Candice bring both passion and real-life experience to every training they provide.
Paul and Candice remain passionate in their commitment to providing high quality in-person lecture and hands-on training to not only First Responders but also to the Immediate Responders of our community.
With over 40 years of combined experience in public safety, Paul and Candice believe reality based training makes the difference in how we respond to any critical incident or life threatening emergency and are proud to provide that same high quality training to any citizen as an immediate responder in their community. Paul and Candice also love to travel and will bring their dynamic training programs to you!

As an authorized training center for the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), a nationally recognized and industry leader in safety and training for businesses, VTac offers a variety of certification courses for emergency care training and active violence response training through HSI. VTac is also a registered instructor for the STOP THE BLEED® campaign.
